The Pearson Peacekeeping Centre (PPC) is a small organization with a flexible organizational structure. Staff members of the PPC serve as ambassadors of Canada in the work they do across the globe. Joining the PPC team involves an opportunity to work with international clients and promote Canadian values in peace operations the world over.
Since its inception in 1994, the PPC has fundamentally supported a multi-disciplinary approach to peace operations. This approach values dialogue, and assembles civilians, military personnel and police to learn from one another in a neutral environment. The goal is to make peace operations more effective through cooperation and coordination. The integrated approach is reflected in our diverse group of staff, which incorporates the viewpoints of civilians, police, humanitarian organizations, diplomats, academics and recipient populations.
