Assessment of Progress Workshop 1

The FDIC L. William Seidman Training Center in Arlington, Virginia will be hosting a workshop where military officers specializing in the areas of planning, assessment, evaluation and monitoring will be sharing new ideas, discussing if the ideas could be applied and then how they could be applied. Approximately 25 military officers with a very wide experience base will be in attendance, along with PPC Senior Researcher, Dr. Sarah Meharg. Dr. Meharg has been asked to speak about some of the concepts in her upcoming book, “Measuring What Matters in Peace Operations and Crisis Management".

Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute (PKSOI)

Senior researcher at the PPC, Dr. Sarah Meharg, will be meeting with the PKSOI Governance Division to discuss the recently completed Security Sector Reform case studies. Dr. Meharg will also be exploring potential themes and opportunities between the PPC and the PKSOI with the help of the PKSOI Director. This meeting will seek to strengthen the bond between the two organizations through the sharing of information.
